Find a problem

Not an idea — a real, painful problem.

Let's start simple. What problem are you trying to solve?
Remote engineering teams struggle to build shared rituals (standups, retros, learning goals) that actually stick past week 2.
Okay — who exactly has this problem? Not 'teams' broadly. One person, one role, one situation. Who?
EM / Head of Engineering at Engineering managers at 20–150 person remote-first startups
Good. Now — how often does this happen to them in a normal month, and what do they do about it today?
Weekly. They cobble together Notion docs, Slack channels, and calendar reminders — none of which stick.
Careful — 'nothing sticks' is your interpretation. Have you heard a real person say that in the last two weeks? If not, that's your first task.
🔎 Quick research pass: I found 3 existing tools claiming to solve this (Slite, Range, and a few Notion templates). Founders in Rands Slack say they switch away because the tools 'feel like tracking software.' That's a signal — the pain is real, but the wedge might be about tone, not features.
One more challenge: what you described is a feature (a tracker). Try to restate it as a pain — what breaks in their week when they don't have this?
